Inno-te-co Co., Ltd., a resident company of the Tech University of Korea (TU Korea) Business Incubator Center, has been finally selected for the '2022 Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Project', a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) technology development support program.

 The '2022 Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Project' is a representative cooperative Research and Development (R&D) program that supports SMEs facing difficulties in independent technology development to enhance their commercialization performance by utilizing the resources and specialized technologies possessed by universities and research institutes.

Operated by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), a specialized institution under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), the program can support technology and product development in all fields required by companies. Inno-te-co Co., Ltd. is a company developing MEMS sensors integrated with gas detection signal compensation elements and hydrogen sensor modules applying them. As the hydrogen economy era goes into full swing and hydrogen safety becomes a major talking point these days, the company is developing a gas sensor with an original method to offset the effects of surrounding environments such as temperature, humidity, wind, and atmospheric pressure to increase the reliability of hydrogen safety through this project.

The company previously confirmed its marketability and technological prowess by winning the Siheung Mayor's Award at the '21st Industry-Academia Cooperation Hall Industrial Technology Exhibition' held at TU Korea in 2021. Through this project selection, Inno-te-co has been chosen for the Phase 2 commercialization R&D project, receiving approximately 260 million KRW in R&D funding over two years.

CEO Kim In-ho of Inno-te-co Co., Ltd. expressed his thoughts, saying, "We are receiving a lot of help in our business operations through the Tech University of Korea. In particular, by being selected for this collaboration project, we plan to proceed with the development of gas sensor elements through semiconductor process design together with Professor Kim Chang-gyu of the Department of Nano Semiconductor Engineering.
